Winners of the 2025 Off Broadway Alliance Awards, recognizing the best in commercial and not-for-profit Off-Broadway theatre, were revealed June 3.

Taking the top prizes were All the World's a Stage, which was named Best Musical, and Becoming Eve, voted Best Play.

Keen Company's world premiere of the Adam Gwon musical All the World's a Stage was helmed by artistic director Jonathan Silverstein, his final production in his 12-year tenure leading the Off-Broadway company. The musical follows a small-town math teacher coaching a misfit student for the 1996 State Thespian Convention whose carefully compartmentalized life starts to fray thanks to a devout school secretary. The New York Theatre Workshop production of Becoming Eve was written by Emil Weinstein. It is based on the memoir by Abby Chava Stein, an openly transgender woman directly descended from Hasidic Judaism's founder, the Baal Shem Tov. Read the reviews by clicking here.

Winners will be celebrated June 24 at 2 PM at an awards ceremony at Sardi's.

Along with several competitive categories, the Alliance previously announced that it will posthumously induct William Finn, Morgan Jenness, and Linda Lavin into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame. Additionally, David Greenspan and Scott Morfee will receive Legend of Off-Broadway Awards for their long careers of work. New Yorker theatre critic Helen Shaw will receive the Friend of Off-Broadway Award.

The Off Broadway Alliance is an organization of Off-Broadway producers, theatres, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals.
